How to Disassemble Laptop Apple MacBook Pro 17" Unibody

Let's see what's new and interesting appears in this model. Apple uses Unibody Pro lineup in broad, subtle shock of black rubber, in contrast to the small version supports Aluminum. Along the perimeter of the bottom of the case are 10 screws with Phillips, who need to unscrew:
  • 7 pcs 3-mm screws (circled in red in the picture)
  • 3 pcs 14-mm screws (circled in orange circles)

The Apple User's Guide for this notebook there are instructions to remove the bottom panel. But there is incorrectly specified the length of one of the screws. We promise to amend our guide. The serial number of the notebook printed on aluminum bottom panel rather than on the top panel, as most laptops Unibody line. BTW, you can select the replacement screws for MacBook Pro at Banggood. Besides, you can easily get other Apple accessories (e.g. starry sky pattern) there with high quality and reasonable prices.

Now we unscrew screws and turn over the bottom panel. Disconnect the battery connector. Perhaps a good idea is removing the cable before proceeding with disassembly of the notebook. Remove a module of RAM 2 GB of DDR3. To remove the hard drive, remove with a Phillips screwdriver 2 small screws that secure the black plastic disc holder to the body. Pull the white plastic tab and pull the hard drive out of the holder, taking care not to pull the SATA cable.

Carefully unplug the cable Serial ATA. Ignoring all manufacturers’ warnings, we extract nonremovable battery. The battery is attached to the body Unibody three-blade screw-type Tri-wing. Hooray, we removed the battery! It was quite easy. Soon such replaceable batteries will be sold all over the Internet.

Removing the battery 17-inch model resembles the MacBook Air - unscrew a few MacBook Pro bottom case screws from the bottom panel, a few screws fastening the battery, and you're done. This model of Apple comes with A1309 battery, 7.3 V, 95 W / h (12820mAh). Environmentalists in the whole world will be happy to hear that it "does not contain mercury. The battery weighs 570 g, which is 20% of the weight of laptop! It is good that Apple removed it from the display module (which it is installed in the MacBook Unibody models and 15 "MacBook Pro Unibody).
